about marriage

Marriage has different meanings for different people but generally it is perceived as contract between two people who will have legal commitment after marriage. Actually if both of two people have an economic freedom and do not need any legal support, it is only a sign. However everybody believe that all women want to be married and marriage is girls' dream in contrast to all men who do not want; is it true?? I don't really know :)

    isn't this "girl's dream-marriage idea" another imposed attitude towards boys&girls?
    it's no different having cars for boys and dolls for girls to play.

    I don't think that when girls are dreaming the marriages, guys do not. Maybe some of them do it, but it is not a general belief. :)

    I know that marriage is not the dream of all women and oppositely it is sometime the dream of some men.It is more like a characteristic feature. If you feel that you are ready, you are in love than it is okay for both men and women but maybe we think that girls want to marry because women are not that afraid of it like men and it is probably because women are more confident that they can handle the responsibility of this kind of commitment...

    I guess men and women both dream about marriage for common purposes such as peaceful home and having children. However,most of the women want to take their future granted. Therefore, more wealthier the men higher chance they have for getting married. :)

    In general, your idea is acceptable Cansu. However,in my opinion it is related to love. If a man thinks that he found the right person to marry, he wants the marriage more than his partner. Because men have the behaviour of possessing and they want to be the only owner of their partners which is the concept of marriage.
